Job Summary
As the Rubber Assembler Fabricator, you’ll be responsible for producing quality parts using basic mechanical assembly practices and equipment. A rubber fabricator performs in-process and final inspections of work completed by self and others.
- Duties and Responsibilities
-Assemble hose and tubing, fittings, and various other components into finished products
– Operate assembly equipment, such as crimpers, swagers, metal stampers, and cutters
– Read and understand basic engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions as guides to assembly - -Perform in-process inspections and tests using calipers and plug gages
- -Pressure test using hydrostatic, vacuum, and pneumatic test equipment
- -Accurately account for materials used in production and make adjustments for scrap
Minor Duties and Responsibilities
- –Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area
- -Set up the workstation and select appropriate tools for the assigned job
- -Perform routine maintenance of production equipment
Qualifications
- –Ability to read prints and take accurate measures
- -High attention to detail
- -Familiar with using calipers and other small hand tools and measurement equipment
- -Good mathematical skills
- -Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- -Complete 90% of the job while standing
